Day 13 · the man's side

The Law of the Pursuit — the Hunt

His weapon

The bow, and patience

His post

On the track, before dawn

The charge

Pursuit is learned skill under repetition: read the sign, close the distance, take the one clean shot. A man who calls it luck has not been on the track long enough.

And a hunter teaches. He explains the track to a younger man, and in explaining discovers what he still does not know.

The watch — what it looks like when he skips this day

Chasing noise instead of sign, then blaming the field.

His oath

I will learn the track, then teach it.

The other side of the mirror

On the women's side this same day is The Law of Pursuit, and its stone is Sodalite. Same law, same order — she strings it, he sets it in stone.
