Day 16 · the man's side

The Law of the Passage — the Bridge and the Toll

His weapon

The bridge he keeps

His post

Midway, where two sides meet

The charge

A man is a passage between his house and the world. Nothing crosses without going through him — money, news, other men's tempers, the culture at the door.

The law here is exchange, not expression. He goes out and comes back carrying something, and both sides are better for the crossing.

The watch — what it looks like when he skips this day

Talking without trading, so nothing comes home in his hands.

His oath

I will bring something back across the bridge.

The other side of the mirror

On the women's side this same day is The Law of Passage, and its stone is Blue Kyanite. Same law, same order — she strings it, he sets it in stone.
